Where have I been?

Sorry I haven't written in forever.  I get sidetracked very easily :-p  What's new in my neck of the woods?  Well,  I'm still doing well with my "diet."  I've lost 14 lbs so far, just by cutting calories & cutting out pop.
This week has been a crazy one for us.  Steve's grandpa passed away Monday night at the age of 96.  We had gone to visit him 3 hours before he passed. Very glad we decided to go because no one would have been by his side.  Steve & I also caught colds.  His is pretty much gone but mine is in full force.  Hoping I can at least get this coughing under control before the funeral tomorrow.
Kenzie's doing well.  She had her 18 month check-up this past Tuesday (yes, she'll be 19 months tomorrow) and she's healthy & thriving.  She is short & skinny though :-p  36 percentile in height & 38 percentile in weight.
Well, I'm going to go for now. Stay tuned, I may have some interesting news to share with you all soon :-)  Or am I just saying that to get you to read my blog? hahaha I guess you'll just have to find out!
Here is Steve, Kenzie & Steve's mom with his grandpa 1 month before he passed. RIP Stanley!!!

"No, Bob, no more squats!"

Bob, being Bob Harper.  I did one of his workouts yesterday and my goodness he about killed with with squats.  Today I did Hip Hop Abs & a 14 minute Biggest Loser workout.  I'm doing great with my diet, but I'm not losing at the rate I feel I should be. Ho hum.  I suppose everyone feels that way. I'm gonna keep working my butt off though.  How are you all doing with your New Year's resolutions?  Would love to hear about them :-)

And, because a post isn't a post without a pictue, here is Miss Mackenzie after she put her daddy's boots on :-p

Losing Weight & Feeling Great!

Well, it's January 6th and I'm still going strong on my lifestyle change!  Even though I've been sick with, what I'm hoping is only, a cold and I've been coughing, sneezing & sniffling, I've been working out at least an hour every day!  I'm SO proud of myself!!!  I told everyone I was serious about losing weight and becoming healthy and I meant every word of that.  Where do I get my motivation, you ask?
Right here:
Mackenzie has really given me a new look on life and really a purpose in this world.  I want to be around for her and I don't want her to be embarrassed by me...well...at least my weight :-p
Wondering how I'm doing it?  Here's a look into my daily routine:

Get up with Kenzie
Eat a bowl of oatmeal or Special K cereal
Drink a glass of water or skim milk
Do a 30 minute workout
Play with Kenzie
Housework
Put Kenzie down for a nap
Give Kenzie lunch
Lunch for myself: Tuna on whole wheat & 20 vegetable crackers with a glass of water
Do the "Just Sweat" on Just Dance 2
Play with Kenzie
Make supper (I'm not really strict of what I make, I just watch my portions)
Play with Kenzie some more.
Mess around online
Bed

Exciting, eh?  I've also limited myself to not eating past 6pm.  And I drink at least 8 glasses of water a day.  Any questions, comments, words of encouragement, or advice please let me know!  Hope you're all keeping your New Year's resolutions!!!  YOU CAN DO IT!!!  Put your back into it.  Sorry, I had to lol Catch ya later.
